With her unique method of teaching from over 35 yrs experience and development Melissa brings beginners to advanced, the mentally emotionally or physically challenged, into a world pf pure expression by teaching all aspects and genres of music. Accessing the song within, results in joy of music by helping children and adults realize their full potential in a magical way using voice, piano, percussion, movement and recording specializing in connecting pupils with their spirit first and foremost. Fanning the creative spark by accessing right brain activity, shyness, inhibitions and other obstacles to learning or performing are overcome from just getting the feel of an instrument to mastering the instrument.
Pupils are thoroughly entertained as Melissa is able to take the drudgery out of piano practise and theory by incorporating a wide variety of engaging styles, taking into account the individual’s likes and dislikes. Improvisation is introduced early on with expert piano tuition, sound, movement, rhythm, percussion, voice coaching and laughter - every pupil is given the space to explore, achieves a sense of purpose. Self-esteem is raised as they discover and express their innate talents and inclinations.
